Borgo Conde - Wine Resort

Absolutely beautiful property! The facilities are nice and spread across the large compound. The room was large and in great condition although it could use an update. Staff were wonderful and we especially enjoyed Jurgen from the cantina who gave us some great recommendations for sites to check out in the area. Highly recommend taking the trail around the property for the best views!

My wife and I, and our dog Lupin stayed at Borgo Conde on 8th April 2023 and found all staff exceptionally friendly, professional and service-minded. Beautiful setting and views. Maurizio and his team in the restaurant were excellent and the food was Michelin-star quality. We will be back! Excellent, spacious room with en-suite and lovely sitting area outside. Quiet with that elusive feel-good factor.

Borgo Conde cancelled the reservation i had due to the floods in Italy last May, they sent me an email telling me that the resort had closed until the very last minute. They told me that i could change dates, unfortunately we could not change the dates because we were traveling from Mexico and our dates were fixed, so they were very understanding and said that we could have a refund. I gave them my credit card number because they wanted to give back the money to the same account, this was on May 20th and i haven't heard from them. I have been sending emails with no reply from the Hotel.

First of, I want to say that I am not someone to give a bad rating fast but like to use these functions to show when I am happy with a place. This will not be possible here. I am shocked at the level of customer service by this hotel! 2 Years ago, in the height of the covid crisis when this Hotel was facing a challenging financial crisis they decided to sell vouchers for their hotel rooms over different travel agencies, asking clients to put trust in them and pay up front, asking clients to take the risk of paying and hoping that the hotel would not go bankrupt and the clients money being lost. A cry for help and support in devastating times for the hotel industry. The hotel decided to promise a 3 Year validity for booking a junior suite. Now, that this hotel seems to be financially stable again, they choose to go back on their promise, punishing exactly those people that supported them in time of needs. Their reason being: „We do not work with the travel agency any more“ At the time of me buying the voucher they did work together, selling vouchers which were valid for 3 years. If they decide, 2 months later to stop working with the travel agency, that does not mean everyone that paid and bought those vouchers have no right to use them anymore. What kind of logic is that?! I am very disappointed with this hotel, their customer service and management deciding this. This leaves a very bad image for the whole hotel industry, I am very sure that this will not be the last pandemic or hotel crisis and situations like these will stop people from supporting, trusting and helping out hotels in the future.

Our stay was perfect. The staff is classy, very kind and professional and always there for guests. The room was spotless, cleaned every single day. Residence is situated perfectly, overlooking other hills and wrapped in vineyards. Every morning the most wonderfull smell wakes you up and you get to taste lovely and rich breakfast. We were lucky and got to enjoy sunshine for the main part of our stay, with their delicious wines (we got to take home a good part of the collection). Dinner in their restaurant was fantastic, really top drawer. It was without a doubt one of the best vacations we had up to this point. We will be back soon and I hope on several more occacions.
